Before You Arrive:
+ Complete your intake & consent form before your visit. If you are unable to complete it, please arrive 15 minutes early.
+ Eat a light snack or meal 30-60 minutes before your treatment.
+ Inform us if you have a history of cold sores to arrange for an antiviral medication.
+While microneedling is suitable for most skin types, we take extra precautions with clients who have autoimmune diseases or are prone to keloid scarring, and we cannot perform this procedure on pregnant or breastfeeding patients.
What to Avoid:
+ Discontinue AHA/BHAs, retinol, and other active products 2-5 days before.
+ Avoid sun exposure, waxing or shaving the treatment area 5 days before your appointment.
+ Steer clear of alcohol, caffeine, and certain medications as directed.
What to Expect:
+ A numbing cream is applied before treatment making the procedure tolerable for most people. Throughout the session, patients may notice a slight vibration sensation, with sensitivity levels differing across the treated areas.
Post Treatment:
Downtime:
+ Expect minor swelling and redness; almost like a sunburn. You will be sent home with a recovery kit - pro tip put the recovery balm in the fridge to help soothe the face.

Post Treatment Expectations (may vary according to patient skin type)
• Day 1 – (0-23 hours) Mild to moderate edema and erythema, similar to a sunburn. No sunscreen or makeup.
• Day 2 – (24 hours later) Some persistent redness and swelling may be present. May, cleanse, apply rescue calming complex (included in the kit) apply sunscreen and makeup.
• Day 3 - Most redness, bruising, and swelling (or almost ) gone.
• Day 4 - Return to normal appearance without makeup.
What to Avoid:
+ Skip strenuous activities and makeup applications for 24 hours.
+ Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and additional laser treatments as advised.
Follow Up:
+ We typically recommend a series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
+ After achieving your desired results, yearly maintenance sessions can be scheduled.

Chemical Peels

+ Please ensure you have filled out your Intake / Consent form before your appointment. If you are unable to complete it, please arrive 15 minutes early
What to avoid prior to your peel:
We recommend avoiding the following:
+ Neuromodulator treatment for a minimum of 2 weeks
+ Filler for at least 4 weeks prior
+ Applying exfoliants or actives such as AHA/BHAs, Retinol, Hydroquinone, Benzyl Peroxide, etc. for 5 days prior depending on skin sensitivity
+ Excessive sun exposure 2 weeks prior
+ Waxing or shaving the treatment area 5 days prior
+ Must be off of oral isotretinoin (Accutane) for a minimum of 6 months prior
What to Expect During a Peel Procedure?
A spa-like treatment with some spice! You may feel a warm, tingling sensation during the application of the peel solution. Additional layers of the peel will be applied to your skin depending on your skin goals, sensitivity and areas of concern. There can be a few add on options during your peel to enhance the benefits of the peel. A soothing masque is applied post-procedure to calm and hydrate the skin. You will be set home with a recovery kit and your provider will educate you on the proper application of each.
Downtime:
+ Minor redness to the treated area is normal
+ Depending on skin sensitivity, some may experience minor irritation that should resolve in 12-72 hours
+ The peel will increase your skin’s sensitivity to sunlight, so daily SPF application is recommended
What to Avoid Post Peel:
Please avoid the following:
+ Excessive exposure to sunlight for 2 weeks
+ Excessive exposure to heat for 24 hours
+ No makeup over the treatment area for 12-24 hours
+ Applying actives (AHA/BHAs, Retinol, Hydroquinone, Benzyl Peroxide, etc.) for 14 days, depending on skin sensitivity
+ Laser treatments for 2-4 weeks
Follow Up:
+ Depending on skin concerns, a series of 3 treatments, about 4-6 weeks apart may be recommended
+ Once the initial series is complete and desired outcome has been reached, maintenance treatments can be done as often as you wish throughout the year to continue collagen rejuvenation and support overall skin restoration and health
Can I combine peel treatments with other cosmetic procedures?
Yes, peel treatments can be combined with other cosmetic procedures. However, it’s crucial to consult with the provider to determine the appropriate timing and combination of treatments based on your individual needs and skin condition.
